Delivery & Returns

At Matcha Chocolat delivering chocolate by post is our specialty and we are proud to offer a customer oriented and personalized service. UK Deliveries

  1. All Matcha Chocolat items will require a signature on delivery as items are sent using the Royal Mail Recorded Delivery service.
  2. All orders will have a single delivery charge of £2.95 added to the cost of the final order at check out.
  3. All items can be electronically tracked through Royal mails’ Track and Trace service.
  4. If no-one is in to accept a delivery from Matcha Chocolat, a card will be left by the postman and the item can either be collected from the local delivery office or a re-delivery can be arranged. Royal Mail are now offering an online re-delivery service so that you do not have to call them first, just arrange it via their website at royalmail.com. Please note that if no one is available to accept delivery, or if goods become unsuitable as a result of non-delivery, we cannot accept liability. We therefore highly recommend that a work delivery address is provided where possible.
  5. In general Matcha Chocolat needs 1-3 days to process, prepare, and despatch each order, though orders may very occasionally take up to 5 business days to be despatched.
  6. Orders made on Friday will not be sent until Monday. This ensures that your fresh chocolates will not be sitting in storage over the weekend.
  7. We do not currently offer overnight or guaranteed delivery.

Cancelling & Returning Orders

  1. In accordance with the Distance Selling Directive (2000) the right of withdraw of 7 days working days does not apply to contracts for the supply of perishable food items, such as fresh chocolates.
  2. Cancellation or any other type of change to your order will only be accepted if the product has not yet been prepared.
  3. No cancellation can be made once the packaged order has been turned over to the carrier and the charges will not be refunded.
  4. If you are not satisfied with the product because you deem it either faulty or damaged you may return it at your own cost within 48 hours from the day of dispatch. After this period, no return will be accepted.
  5. Products that are returned due to fault or damage within 48 hours will be refunded or exchanged. If you choose a refund or a recredit it will be made to the you within 30 days for any sum that has been paid by you or debited from your credit card for the goods.
  6. Matcha Chocolat is unable to process returns or refunds on items that are just unsuitable or unwanted.
  7. Any damage or loss in transit must be pointed out in writing when signing the delivery notice in the presence of the delivery person. We cannot claim against a carrier unless these precautions are taken. We always recommend writing “unexamined” on the delivery note if you do not have time to fully check the state of the parcel there and then.
